L’orchestre

In this course, you’ll learn:

  • what the instruments in an orchestra are,
  • what they sound like,
  • how they’re played,
  • what instrument “families” each belongs to,
  • how the instruments are seated in the orchestra, and
  • who makes sure the instruments all play together

At the end of the course, you should be able to identify any of the instruments by sight and by sound, and say how that sound is produced. You should also be able to fill out a blank orchestra seating template with the correct instrument families.

You’ll also learn a bit about the conductor, the person who makes sure the instruments all play together.

You can do the topics, lessons, and activities in any order, or you can skip right to the final assessment. When you pass the final assessment, you’ll receive a personalized certificate you can print out.

Good luck, and have fun!
