The Dubai Font has been designed to unite the world through the power of self expression.
Commissioned by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan and launched by the executive council of Dubai in partnership with Microsoft, the Dubai Font is inspired by the city. Reflecting a modern design, it has been designed to create harmony between Arabic and Latin. This high quality typography is a celebration of union and heritage and available for free for all users worldwide.
Designed by the Monotype (the company responsible for the world’s most famous typefaces) design team and Dr Nadine Chahine, this font promotes self-expression and gives the world a new tool to communicate with. Dubai Font has four weights (Light, Regular, Medium and Bold) and is supporting 23 languages.
The Dubai Font has been made for reading and has an openness of the letters and free flowing style that makes it easy to read. It is also the first Microsoft font that has been created by a city and also named after it.
